running with eight little kids...

family of ten, eight kids, five extra friends, and 14 000 runners.

with extra many hot cross buns for easter.

Do you not know?
   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
   the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
   and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
   and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
   they will run and not grow weary,
   they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31

start of something new...

Cast your cares on the LORD
   and he will sustain you;
he will never let
   the righteous be shaken.
 But you, God, will bring down the wicked
   into the pit of decay;
the bloodthirsty and deceitful
   will not live out half their days.

 But as for me, I trust in you. Psalms 55:22-23.

the randomness of open road.

bus ride. endless black tar. silence with words brings a guy with a guitar and an unsung song.

And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be pre-eminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,  and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. Colossians 1:18-20.

time...

A month filled with work. A week filled with English. A day will with sunshine. An hour filled with boredom. A moment filled love. And it all. Comes. Together.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world--the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions--is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. 1John 2:15-17

week of ministry.

week. weak. strong. blessed. And. forever changed.
children. people. animals. houses and shacks. lives will always be changed. before others are changed ours first need to be changed. it has been changed. long ago. and again. now.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.  For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar. Psalms 51.

thank you

sundays.

saterday evenings. sunday mornings. special moments. special sunrises. special birthdays. all orchestrated. all painted. all perfect.

O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honour. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! ~ Psalms 8.

i am because He is. i was because he always is. always.

we lean from weight. to each other. to. and. fro. here. there.
some stay still. others move. few do.
i move. not by me. but by Him. all him. i am  because He is.

black and white worlds.

week spent discovering truths, weekends are spent practising truths.

new world order. that of old.
truth is discovered. but rejected. wisdom is rejected by the foolish. but accepted by the chosen. we are wise. Not because we are of knowledge. we are wise not on our own. we are wise because. He is infinitely. Wise.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7.

all is black and white.
While He is red.

ואמר אך־חשׁך ישׁופני ולילה אור בעדני׃
 גם־חשׁך לא־יחשׁיך ממך ולילה כיום יאיר כחשׁיכה כאורה׃
Psalms 139:11-12

Monday, March 7, 2011

things we see but do not notice. things we notice but do not understand.

our days pass by with our eyes closed. our hearts closed. our hearts empty.

Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the worldholding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labour in vain. Philippians 2:16~14.

stop. feel. love. believe. shine.

Amazing Grace...

Time spent, times of weakness, times of study, times of tears, times of love, times of blessing, time spent spending time.

we approach to start the sunday of today, think back, to the week that was, look to the week that is to be, wonder how, wonder why. we know that there is only reason to.

bound for the end, bound for love, bound for it all.

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

“I was blind but now I see!” John 9:25

bound to you.

it was weekend, well kind of...

so it was the weekend that just past. not sure what happened, rather what did not happen.

went from work to training to work. to some more work. got to see a dear friend and then to work again. not sure of the future but seriously hoping the work gets more entertaining and exciting.

ending the weekend on a monday morning with early coffee, mango and train to uct vibes. hoping she stays safe. looking forward to the week of work, friends, test, kids, and God ever present and unchanging.

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night," even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalms 139:7-14...

the week and endings and farewells...

so the busyness of the week, early mornings and sounds of trains still sound in my mind, followed by goodbyes, kisses and hugs.

so another week ended and weekend started with tired bodies and refreshed on the saterday with a run down to a beach and followed by some productive workings and time spent together.

then it was off with friends to the strand and epic fires and braais, with abundant food and great games of poker. ending with a midnight drive home.

everything seems simple late at night. as it should be

weekend ending with sadness but with joy and love in our ♥ ...

so our sister is off to korea. but not to late, not to soon.

we shall see you soon.

we miss.

we love.

your valentine. always.

so yes. you guessed it right. this is a post to say happy valentines day. (not so hard to guess if you read the heading).

but this is me saying thank you. saying thank you.
thank for the past many months. for the amazing moments. special times. and countless hours spent together. every moment will be remembered. always.
thank you for the coffee surprises. the sugar. the brownies. my favorite dishes. the naps. the movies and random series on the laptop while i am asleep on the couch. thank for the photo shoots and swims and tans. thank you for the love shared in ice cream and desert. thank you for the tears of joy. for the prayers of strength. perseverance and love. thank you for the early wake ups. allowing me to intrude on the nao and nici time. thank you for hugs when most needed.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 1 John 4-7

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-13

thank you for family. thank you for forever.

thank you for you love.
